VANDY, AN INDIE FILMMAKER, BRINGS A
"SLICE OF MINNESOTA," AND SUBWAY SANDWICHES, TO PARK CITY!

Park City, UT - Tim VandeSteeg (Vandy), the Minneapolis based independent filmmaker and founder of Vandy Productions has teamed with Subway* Restaurants, the international sandwich store chain, to put the spotlight on Minnesota film making with the Park City Premiere of two Minnesota Films: Vandy Productions' Mulligan, and WAK Films' Welcome to Alaska. This "Slice of Minnesota" will take place January 25th and 26th, 2000 at The Lodge at the Mountain Village in Park City, Utah.

Vandy directed, produced, and co-wrote Mulligan, ultimately convincing Subway* Restaurants to sponsor the film, making Subway's* first venture into independent film sponsorship. Vandy is also producer of Rodney and Roger Johnson's directorial debut Welcome to Alaska, following an adventurer through the Yukon wilderness on a quest to Alaska.

'Slice of Minnesota' will not only showcase two great films made in Minnesota, but I also hope it will attract other films to the state. We have so many great resources in every aspect of the filmmaking world from talented actors and experienced crew, to wonderful equipment houses such as Cinequipt, and a supportive film community including the state film board, IFP/N, and a supportive governor. It's all about support " said Vandy.

Mulligan is a brash, amusing look at the day in the lives of four twenty somethings whose days and dealings on the golf course mirror each character's behavior in every day life...Swingers meets Caddyshack.

"Mulligan shows Minnesota in a positive light with cinematography that showcases the state's beauty and characters who steer away from the stereotype that films like Fargo and Drop Dead Gorgeous played up. We're not all hicks," comments Vandy.

Mulligan has inked sponsorships with more than 25 companies including Adidas, Sun Country Airlines, Taylor Made, and Lifetime Fitness to name a few.
